Longhorn Photoshoot

When your client asks you to create a campaign using elements commonly seen in and around the Fort Worth Stockyards, you have to feature the world famous longhorn cattle drive, a twice-daily tourist destination in the Fort Worth Stockyards. When Stockyards Heritage was about to undergo major renovation, signage would be needed to redirect foot and vehicle traffic around this cattle drive path. Our concept was to personify the longhorns by putting words in their mouth on signage all around the streets of Exchange Avenue. There were a few of the longhorns that were very gentle, so we knew it would be a possibility to pose them in a studio setting with white background and professional lighting . To do this, we had to rig our own temporary studio in the nearby stables, and Jeremy Enlow of Steel Shutter was our heroic photographer that pulled it off. It even won a Gold AAF award for the impossible task! Unfortunately this clever campaign took a different route, but we have the photos to prove how a good idea should not go unnoticed.
